European Super League 'cannot now proceed' – BBC News

One of the architects of the breakaway European Super League (ESL), the chairman of Juventus Andrea Agnelli, has admitted the project has in-effect collapsed.

AC Milan, Inter Milan and Atletico Madrid have now left, following the six Premier League clubs which all withdrew within hours of each other on Tuesday.

The ESL was announced on Sunday to widespread condemnation, involving 12 clubs from England, Spain and Italy.
